This space will serve as a forum for readers and writers to interact in many ways:
The afterlife of essays: the time frame of publishing a journal article is glacial (although, come to think of it, that’s no longer an apt metaphor) so this will give us a way for authors to update their essays or reflect on reactions they’ve received since writing.
A showcase of short work that is non-traditional.
We can upload media and content related to the essays and reach readers who might not otherwise find essays.
It’s a chance for our board members and others to post provisional ideas.
It’s a space for retractions, reconsiderations, questions.
Since our website is also a significant archive of the history of this journal, we hope readers and writers might be willing to reflect on the past and then . . . why not?. . . the future.
We want to publish short writing on writing and publishing in journals like ours, reflections on the process and ideas that might be helpful to others; on how to write a strong reader report or how to receive a weak one.
We will also provide trailers for forthcoming essays and special issues.
